Sullivan Tire & Auto Service is a tire shop in Boston, Massachusetts. It is listed at 950 Commonwealth Ave, Boston, MA 02215, which places it among the local businesses of Boston that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Google also lists it under auto repair shop, oil change service, wheel alignment service, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.

Tire shops sell and install new tires, patch punctures, balance wheels and, at most locations, align the suspension. Prices are quoted per tire plus mounting, balancing, valve stems and a state disposal fee for the old set; many shops price-match and include free rotation and flat repair for the life of the tire. Used tire shops sell inspected take-offs for a fraction of the price of new ones, useful for an older car or a single replacement, but check the tread depth (4/32 inch or more) and the DOT date code, since rubber ages even on the shelf. Mobile tire services come to your driveway or the roadside, commercial shops handle semi, trailer, farm and off-road tires, and wheel shops repair and refinish bent or curb-scraped rims.

Hours are published for 6 days a week. On most of those days it is open 7:30 amโ€“6 pm. Note that it does not open on Sunday. Boston is in Massachusetts, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Boston is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Massachusetts's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

After a long and arduous battle with other auto body repair shops, dealerships, and complete disrespect from insurance companies due to a hit and run incident that caused both body and sensor damage to my car (2017 Honda CRV) back in a snowstorm in early February 2026... Sullivan tire descended from the heavens above. They not only provided ample and quality service, but excellent customer service, responsiveness, and quality of character that blew all of their competitors out of the water. The manager, David, was ever respectful and courteous, prompt in his responses, and always seemed to have the repair of the car and easing our worries at the top of his list of priorities. Matt, the installer and calibrator for the new sensor for my car, was consistently punctual, and provided quality work that not only got the repairs done within the estimated timeline, but complete nearly a whole day early. I cannot sing the praises of Sullivan Tire and Auto highly enough, as a quality auto body shop that not only stands alone, but completely outshines their competitors in all facets, particularly in highly stressful endeavors like car repair and maintenance. I recommend anyone who needs rep

Brought my car here for a fast tire leak (also bought tires here <1y ago). Was diagnosed a cracked rim, but tires are "perfectly fine". Cracked wheel was real, but tire was not fine - there was a large silver nail in the thread that was causing a major leak. This was missed, TWICE. I came back and paid the $38 to get the markings on the rim so I could order a new set, and the nail was missed AGAIN. Replaced all 4 rims elsewhere, and the tire leaked again. I ended up finding leak myself with soapy water, which should've been caught both times. They wouldn't remove the nail due to having wheel spacers. Fine, understood. When I brought up frustration to Dave (the manager) that nail had been missed, twice, he first said the leak was due to the cracked wheel. When I said it was the same tire and leak speed after new rims, he then said "don't know if it was there during the original visit". Same leak speed and same tire? Really? I can deal with a place being blunt or gruff, but I won't tolerate a lack of accountability, especially from a manager who shifts blame to employees instead of taking ownership and trying to remediate the situation instead as the face of the business. I would

Anthony at the front desk was particularly nice and helpfulโ€”he even offered to stay late when he got news that it would take the team an extra bit of time to ensure that my vehicle was safe to drive. Thank you everyone!

Last month I was driving up to Boston for the Red Sox home opener at Fenway Park(Go Sox). Unfortunately I experienced a left rear tire failure as I was getting into Boston. I was in a bad place and started looking up tire shops. I found Sullivan Tire and they said they could handle the repair during my time in the city. Which they did. In the process they scratched the face of my wheel. I shrugged this off as it is a used vehicle and the previous owner played bumper cars with curbs previously(the wheels weren't pristine). I left town on Saturday and drove home. Once I got back into town I stopped to grab a coffee at the local drive thru. I always tip my barista and leave single dollar bills in my center console(usually around $5-$10 at a time) for this. To my dismay my cash for tipping was gone. I was flabbergasted. I know the technician was going through my vehicle because I forgot to leave my wheel lock key out for them. There are certain things I can look the other way on but stealing is not one of them. I called the store on the following Monday and was transferred to the manager that said he would look into this and then call me back to discuss. I have now been waiting well ov

I found this shop when I failed the emissions section of my annual inspection, and I chose it because it's a state-certified repair shop. I was a little nervous about using a new shop, but my fears were immediately allayed. I called for an appointment and got one the very next day. A few hours after leaving the car, I got a call explaining what repairs were needed, and also what maintenance was recommended, with a very clear explanation of both, and a price for each. The repairs were completed the next day. Everyone was friendly, helpful and efficient, and I was delighted to learn that Sullivan Tire is an employee-owned business. Then it got even better. My check-engine light came on again, after just a few miles of driving. I called the shop and again, I got an appointment right away. They addressed the problem immediately, test drove the car, and had it back to me within a couple of hours. And there was no charge. This is my garage from now on!
